Data Handling Terms

Last updated: 9 July 2026

These terms describe how Precision Labware processes the data entrusted to us in the course of enquiries, quotations, and supply. They complement, and should be read alongside, our Privacy Policy.

1. Scope

These terms apply to all business and personal data handled by our procurement office through this website, email correspondence, and the fulfilment of orders. They set general, uniform rules that apply to every customer and supplier interaction.

2. Categories of data

  • Contact and account data — names, business names, email addresses, phone numbers, and delivery addresses.
  • Transaction data — quotations, purchase orders, invoices, and delivery records.
  • Operational data — correspondence, support requests, and records needed to manage supply.
  • Technical data — website server logs and aggregate usage statistics.

3. Purpose limitation

Data is processed only for the purposes for which it was provided — responding to enquiries, fulfilling orders, maintaining business records, and meeting legal obligations. We do not repurpose data for unrelated uses, and we do not sell it.

4. Confidentiality

Commercial information — including pricing, order volumes, and procurement details — is treated as confidential and is disclosed only to personnel and service providers who require it to perform their role, under obligations of confidentiality.

5. Security controls

We apply reasonable, industry-standard safeguards, including access controls, restricted handling of records, and secure disposal of data no longer required. Safeguards are reviewed periodically. No safeguard is infallible, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Third parties and subprocessors

Where we rely on third parties (for example, hosting, logistics, and accounting providers) to process data on our behalf, we engage them under terms requiring appropriate confidentiality and security, and only to the extent necessary to deliver the relevant service.

7. Retention

Data is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfil its purpose or to satisfy legal, tax, and record-keeping requirements. Once no longer required, it is securely deleted or de-identified.

8. Data requests

Individuals may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal data, subject to applicable law and our record-keeping obligations. Requests should be sent to the contact address below; we may verify identity before acting on a request and will respond within a reasonable period.

9. Incident handling

If we become aware of a data incident that is likely to result in serious harm, we will take reasonable steps to contain it and notify affected parties and any relevant authority where required by law.

10. Governing framework

Our handling of personal information is guided by the applicable privacy laws of the jurisdictions in which we operate, including the Australian Privacy Principles. Where laws differ, we apply the standard that provides the greater protection.

11. Updates

We may revise these terms from time to time. The current version is always the one published on this page, and the "last updated" date reflects the most recent change.

12. Contact

For data handling questions or requests, contact our procurement office at supply@precisionlabwareau.com. Full corporate registration details are available on request.
